Why a Nutritional Assessment?

A nutritional assessment allows to know your nutritional status and it is very useful for detecting nutritional deficiencies. There are people that are thinking that nutritional deficiencies are no longer a problem or they believe that need to intake some nutritional supplements such some minerals and/or vitamins for having a healthy life. These nutritional supplements should be taken only if you are sure that your diet is deficient of them.

An individual assessment requires a careful analysis of the foods consumed concomitant with whole-body assessment and then a functional, physiological, and biochemical assessment of organs and tissues[1].
